This Privacy Policy explains how Majharul Shagor (“I”, “me”, or “this site”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit majharulshagor.com (the “Site”).
1. Information I Collect
Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email address, the subject/project type you select, and your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Newsletter Signup
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is collected and stored with Mailchimp, a third-party email service provider, so I can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
Comments
When you leave a comment on the Site, the comment and its metadata (your name, email address, and IP address) are collected to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Spam Protection (Akismet)
This Site uses Akismet to reduce spam comments. Data collected through Akismet may include the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and the comment content, which is sent to Automattic for analysis. Akismet’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience on future comments. These cookies last for one year. If you visit the login page, WordPress will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies; this cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. Embedded Content
Articles on this Site may include embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos). If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically, rather than being held in a moderation queue. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
5. Your Rights
If you have an account on this Site or have left comments, you can request an export of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you, except where that data must be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
